A DAY TO SPOIL MOM

Mother’s Day will be celebrated in gourmet style at the luxurious Radisson Blu Le Vendome Hotel in Sea Point on Sunday, 8 May 2016 from 12pm with a special buffet menu to treat Moms, devised by Executive chef, Craig Carmichael.

The culinary experience at the hotel’s #add Restaurant & Pool will open with stir-fried squid with rocket and orange salad, marinated fish and sweet pimentos and papaya and cabbage coleslaw for starters. Decadent mains, meanwhile, will include roasted suckling pig, vegetable ratatouille, potato dauphinoise and green beans with toasted almonds.

To complete the celebratory day, delicious desserts include classic favourites such as cream brule, mini chocolate mousse and tropical fruit salad.Chef Craig Carmichael brings over 20 years’ of five-star culinary experience to the table and his innovative approach to cooking will ensure guests enjoy a unique and memorable dining experience.
“I cook from my heart and it was my own Mom who instilled this passion in me. So, in a way, this is also a tribute to her and to all the Mom’s who enter the restaurant on the big day,” says Craig.

The hotel’s #add Restaurant & Pool offers al fresco cuisine options around the pool along with an indoor section that allows diners to shade themselves while still enjoying the tranquility of the Atlantic Seaboard. Updated new features include wooden decking and an outdoor cocktail bar, creating a relaxing, secluded atmosphere.

The exquisite Mother’s Day menu, charming service and chef Craig showing off his skills, is available at R385 per person. Advance bookings are recommended at the popular venue.
