Learners at Ravensmead High School now have access to a fully equipped Consumer Studies classroom, upgraded by GrandWest’s Social Economic Development department as part of Sun International’s nationwide Schools Renovations Programme. The new classroom has been equipped with seven stoves, as well as crockery, cooking utensils and fridges. Industrial tables and cupboards have also been installed, while other improvements were also made, including fixing the ceilings and repainting the classroom. Work at the schools was carried out by an enthusiastic team of GrandWest suppliers and service providers.
The Schools Renovation Programme is focused on upgrading hospitality classrooms at schools in underprivileged communities to properly equip learners for pursuing further studies and a career in the hospitality sector. Ravensmead High School is one of four schools to receive classroom upgrades this year.
