Our PSL team will depart for their pre-season training camp in George today, as head coach Roger De Sa and his technical team looks to add the final touches to the team’s preparation for the 2016/17 Absa Premiership campaign.

The boys will depart at 12h00 today with their estimated time of arrival in George being at 19h00.

Roger De Sa believes that this trip affords his players the chance to get to know each other off the field and form a bond which will be vital ahead of the season ahead.

“We’ll be looking for a continuation of our preparation we’ve been doing, it’s obviously just nice to get away for a while. Everybody is looking forward to it, it’s a different environment and the guys will get a chance to bond a little bit more too. We’ll also get to play a few friendly games there against different opposition to what we have in Cape Town,” commented an optimistic De Sa.

“The main reason for this trip is to get everybody to gel. I’m sure there’ll be a lot of jokes and pranks, which makes it fun. Also we’ll have more time to get some video sessions in,” concluded De Sa.

Ajax CT very much looks forward to our trip to the beautiful city of George, and are excited at the prospect of engaging with the community.
