On Monday, 5 September, the Western Cape Government Health, Emergency Medical Services College of Emergency Care received a very generous donation from the MTN SA Foundation in the form of a multi-media centre.
The centre, comprehensively equipped with 44 computer terminals, two projectors, two interactive white boards, a computer server, laptop and printer, all worth well over R860 000 was graciously received by the Western Cape MEC for Health, Dr Nomafrench Mbombo and several other senior EMS officials as well as internal and external stakeholders of both the MTN SA Foundation and Western Cape Government Health Emergency Medical Services.
MTN SA Foundation General Manager, Ms Kusile Mtunzi-Hairwadzi presented an in-depth demonstration of the state of the art facility to both the EMS students as well as lecturers present. According to the College of Emergency Care Principal, Mr. Kubendhren Moodley the Multi-Media Centre will be put to excellent use in training and retraining EMS personnel in the best emergency medical practices, keeping Western Cape EMS at the forefront of emergency medical care.
