The Grand Arena at GrandWest plays host to well known South African performers for proudly local concert, Night with the Stars, organised by singer Karin Kortje in celebration of African music on 18 September 2016.
On the bill for the show are Kortje, Emo Adams, Alistair Izobell, The Black Ties, Robin Pieters and Elwira Standili. The afternoon’s entertainment will also feature performances by the winners of the Overberg’s Got Talent Competition under the musical direction of Camillo Robert Lombard. Night with the Stars will be hosted by Shaleen Surtie Richards and Quinton Manuels.

We look forward to hosting some of South Africa’s well known artists as well as offering emerging local talent a platform to perform,” says GrandWest’s PR and Promotions Manager, Elouise Matthys.Kortje became a household name when she became the first black performer to win SA Idols in 2005. More than a decade later, Kortjé is still prominent on the local music scene. In a recent TV documentary on SABC 3, Karin Kortje: Idol of Note, she gave an honest and emotional account of her “rise and fall and rise again”. Her talent and supporters have helped get her back on her feet and she continues to perform across the country and in Namibia. She organised Night with the Stars to celebrate local artists and give thanks to those who support local music.
Tickets to the afternoon concert are available at Computicket and range in price from R120 to R180 per person. The show will start at 14h00.
