Multiple award winning satirical puppet and star of the TV comedy news series, Late Nite News, Chester Missing, is about to be unleashed at GrandWest. Appearing with the outspoken puppet, who has an opinion on everything from Zimbabwe to Crocs, is his ventriloquist sidekick and one of South Africa’s sought after comedians, Conrad Koch. They are in the lineup of comedians gracing the stage on 5 February 2017 for the Hanover Street Comedy Sundowners. Also on the bill for the night are Carl Weber, Phil de Lange and Gino Fernandez.
Missing’s puppet master, Koch, has a completely unique approach, combining razor sharp standup comedy, puppetry and social anthropology to create hilarious but thought provoking encounters. He is well known on the South African comedy circuit and has been receiving standing ovations for the past 17 years.
Koch talks via a variety of extremely eccentric characters including Ronnie (the precocious monster), Chester (the 51% BEE partner) and Hilary (a bad attitude ostrich). They cover everything from politics to skin disease.
The doors will open at 17h00 and the show will start at 18h00. The cost to enter is R60 per person, strictly for over 18s. Contact 082 588 6662 to book.
