Sasha-Lee Davids was born in Atlantis in the Western Cape, is a professional singer and the 2009 co-winner of South African Idols season 5 alongside Jason Hartman. She is also the winner of the 2008 reality TV show “Matrix” season 2.

After a two-year absence from the public eye, the former Idols winner Sasha-Lee returned into the limelight with a reality TV show called The House of Davids or Huis van Davids. It showcased the lives of the Davids family and their involvement in the community of Atlantis. Sasha and her nine siblings and their parents, Joe and Sally who are ministers in the church featured in the show. The show, premiered on Kyknet‎, also aired on Mzansi Magic and was produced by an international production company. The show ran successfully for a year.

After winning Idols she released her début album, “Sasha-Lee”. She had the opportunity to work with Jamie Jones, lead singer of the Grammy Award winning group All-4-One, on a track entitled, “Before You”.

Sasha-Lee is back, better than ever and doing it her way. She has recently performed in a variety of shows including Divas, Duets, Kaapse Jol and many tours throughout South Africa.

Sasha-Lee is in the studio creating her own original sound. The album is produced by Alistair Izobell and most of the tracks are written by Sasha Lee. The album will be recorded at RobRoy music studios in Johannesburg. The studios have worked on many international projects, advertising campaigns and recorded the cream of South African artists.Her brand new single “Forever Yours” will be released digitally in mid-March 2017 and will be available on ITunes.

Sasha-Lee feels strongly that she is on the path she is meant to be on, at this stage of her life and said “I am back doing exactly what I want and the right time in my life surrounded by all the creative minds to get me to the next level”.

Sasha-Lee will feature in her own show – “Breaking Free” at the Baxter Theatre in April.

The show will feature James Bhemgee, Edith Plaatjies, Nur Abrahams, Terri Davids, Letitia Davids and supported by an 8-piece band headed by the talented Don Vino Prins.
