… the acclaimed music series comes to ITV Choice

The much acclaimed contemporary music series, Live from Abbey Road Classics is set to premiere on ITV Choice (DStv 123) on Sunday, October 1 at 19:00 with two episodes playing out back-to-back weekly, for an hour-long treat for music fans.  This award-winning performance series, which selects classic acts from the original Live from Abbey Road, features the very best global musical stars in concert.

Filmed in high definition and without an audience or presenter, these performances take place in the world’s most inspiring and creative recording venue: Abbey Road Studios in London.

Here’s what you can expect to see over the next eight weeks …

Week 1
Tracks from Californian rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kilmarnock’s finest, Biffy Clyro as well as performances from lead Beach Boy Brian Wilson and Canadian soloist Feist feature in the first episode looking back at the best of the legendary music series.Week 2
This episode features Grammy-winning crooner Michael Bublé and Sweden’s Lykke Li performing together as well as sets from Paul Simon and First Aid Kit.

Week 3
Sets from Muse and The Zutons and performances from Elbow and Foals for fans of these artists.

Week 4
A performance from Massive Attack and a set from The Good, The Bad and The Queen feature in the first half of this episode with sets from Paul Weller and Kaiser Chiefs taking up the second half-hour.

Week 5
Performances from The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers and alt-J and in the second half there are tracks from Mary J Blige and Raphael Saadiq

Week 6
Features songs from Ray LaMontagne and TheVaccines as well as the not-to-be-missed  Florence and the Machine and Fleet Foxes

Week 7
The brilliant Ed Sheeran and Damien Rice, followed by songs from The Black Keys and Anna Calvi

Week 8 (30 mins only)
This episode features the award-winning Kasabian as well as The Subways

There will be more episodes of Live from Abbey Road Classics on ITV Choice starting on Sunday, November 26. So stay tuned (geddit?).
