Brilliant new series premieres exclusively on ITV Choice (DStv 123)
on Friday, March 18 at 21:00

Anyone who watched The Graham Norton Show a few weeks ago would have seen one of Norton’s guests, Tracey Ullman, discussing her new comedy sketch show. Ullman’s interview was followed by a clip which showed the comedienne, looking like a dead ringer for Dame Judy Dench, in a very funny sketch in which Dench was caught shoplifting

Now South African viewers have the chance to watch all six half-hour episodes, when Tracey Ullman’s Show premieres exclusively on ITV Choice (DStv 123) on Friday, March 18 at 21h00. Two episodes will be shown back-to-back each week for three weeks.

The UK is a melting pot of characters and cultures. Each episode of Tracey Ullman’s Show follows some of those characters, sometimes through their day, sometimes for a single moment. The series will feature warm and entertaining characters that are observational and recognisable; truthful, with a dose of eccentricity. Ullman’s unique talents and extraordinary versatility cover the full gamut from everyday people to superstars. Continue reading

BERLIN, March 7, 2016 – Laureus World Sports Academy Member and athletics legend Michael Johnson describes Jamaican sprint star Usain Bolt as ‘the greatest’ in an exclusive interview on, after the triple Olympic sprint champion was nominated again for the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year Award.

In the interview, available for media use, Johnson reviews all the track and field Nominees for the 2016 Laureus World Sports Awards and looks ahead to the Rio Olympic Games. Among his comments:

Neither Jesse Owens, Carl Lewis or myself has produced, in my opinion, the consistency and longevity that Usain Bolt has and so to this point he has to be considered the greatest. If he’s healthy, I don’t think anyone can stop him in the Rio.

Who can stop Bolt for the Laureus Award? I look at Stephen Curry and what he did last year, winning the NBA Championship, league MVP and just doing unbelievable things, where there are so many great athletes. He still stood out against the field.Continue reading

Now, I know there has been speculation and misconception about my case. I was charged with assault with intent of indecency and assault with intent. I fully understand the magnitude of this issue. I have had time by myself to reflect on things most important to me and I am working through everything. I have served my time in jail in another continent and have endured hardships of the sentence that was handed to me. I would like to move on with my life. Continue reading

The remarkable Hidden in Silence is based on the true life events of the 13 member Diamant family who were hid in the attic of two Polish orphans during the Holocaust and has been described as heart-breaking and inspiring as Schindler’s List.

It is the winner of the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Original Long Form – Television and tells of the orphaned Catholic sisters Stefania and Helena Podgorska, ages 16 and 9, who hid the Diamant family in the attic of their home during World War 2. Stefania had worked in the Diamant family’s grocery store before the Nazi invasion of Poland.

While some stand silent, Stefania (portrayed by ER’s Kellie Martin) chooses the role of a saviour and sneaks 13 Jews into her attic. Every day, she risks detection – and immediate execution – by smuggling food and water to the silent group living above her. And when two German nurses are assigned to her living quarters, the chances of discovery become dangerously high. Durban – The SAPS has to pay more than R1.2 million to compensate an Umhlanga car dealership after an out-of-the-box Jaguar was written off in an accident caused by a policeman.

The black Jaguar F type, V8 SC was the launch vehicle of the model which was being introduced in South Africa at the time. It was valued at more than R1.3 million, but, after the accident – which occurred on the N3 near the Spaghetti Junction a Sunday afternoon in July 2013 – it was sold for scrap for R112 000 and Jaguar Umhlanga sued the minister of police and the policeman for the balance.

In the recent trial before Durban High Court Judge Themba Sishi, the driver, Trevor Clack, employed as the dealership’s brand manager, said he was taking the car on a test drive before the launch in the coming week.

“The sky was blue and the visibility was clear,” he said.

As he passed The Pavilion Shopping Centre, he changed lanes from the extreme right-hand one to the middle one.
