There are many different types of lipsticks out there and a lady truly is spoilt for choice when trying to pick one (luckily, I get to have all of them – evil grin). The type of lipstick you use and also the colour can be used according to your mood or simply the shape of your lips. Today the lipstick market contains an assortment of products with many effects and characteristics. Picking the perfect shade of lipstick is only half the job ladies – when it comes to lipstick, texture is just as important.
Check out the various lipstick textures below:

Many women prefer a creamy texture as it is not too shiny without it being a matte lipstick, cream lipsticks are opaque and they have a really smooth finish. It is usually packaged as a lipstick but you can also get a creamy lip gloss with a felt-tip applicator.

These lipsticks are popular for their more pigmented colour. Matte lipsticks just last much longer than other textures but the superior-quality pigments and the reduced oil content often causes some stain to your lips.

Johannesburg – Prophet Paseka Motsoeneng, also known as Prophet Mboro, has rejected claims that he went to heaven on Easter Sunday and had pictures taken with Jesus Christ.

Motsoeneng said because he had not yet died, there was no reason for him to have visited heaven.

“If I had pictures of heaven, my whole family and church would have seen it. I would never insult Jesus like that,” he said on Tuesday.

Pictures alleging to be of Motsoeneng in heaven reportedly appeared on a Facebook page created under his name. Someone claiming to be his spokesperson also allegedly said the pictures were for sale.

Motsoeneng has since reportedly said he was unaware of the person purporting to be his spokesperson.

On Tuesday, the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Rights Commission) laid criminal charges against Motsoeneng.

It said he had failed to comply with a summons to hand over audited financial statements during their investigation into him and his church, the Incredible Happenings Ministries, for commercialisation of religion.

TIP-ex is a dynamic and powerful three-hander which stars Hannie with Melissa Johannisen and Maxine Caesar. The central theme for the play focuses on gender issues, and in particular, corrective rape – still prevalent in some South African communities today. The narrative is about a woman, Katie (played by Hannie), who takes the audience back to her teenage years when she first started to realise that she was attracted to persons of the same sex. When she mentions this to her conservative family for the first time, outrage breaks out and everything changes. As still often happens today, she is sent to confirmation classes to ‘fix’ the problem.

Tickets for the previews are only R60, and can be booked here (12 April) and here (13 April).
