Restaurant Mosaic Included in The Diners Club 50 Best Discovery Series

Restaurant Mosaic, one of South Africa’s top dining destinations, has been voted by The Diners Club® World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy to be included as one of the top restaurants in The Diners Club® 50 Best Discovery Series.

The Discovery Series highlights the next generation of dining destinations. So while the restaurants voted for are not (yet) featured on the 50 Best lists themselves, they have been recommended by the Diners Club’s panel of almost 1 000 independent experts from across the globe as ones to watch!

The Discovery Series list features 50 establishments from eight identified regions – Latin America and Caribbean, Western Europe, Scandinavia and North East Europe, Middle East and Africa, USA Mid and Canada; USA East and West, Australasia and South East Asia and finally Asia itself.
Restaurant Mosaic is the only South African eatery to be included as one of the six top restaurants for the Middle East and Africa region. The other five include two from Turkey and one each from UAE, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Says Mosaic’s Chef Chantel Dartnall: “We could not be more delighted! What an honour to be included alongside some of the world’s top restaurants. Hopefully next year we move from the Discovery Series and make it into the 50 Best list itself.”

Dartnall is set to launch her new seasonal menu shortly which is titled “Roots and Shoots” inspired by the delicate curls and leaves of the colourful first shoots emerging from the soil, where she is capturing the earthy goodness that brings the magic of Nature to our plates.
