GrandWest, home to EFC (the Extreme Fighting Championship) events in the Western Cape, is gearing up for the next event, EFC 48, to be headlined by the heavyweight championship fight between Brendon Groenewald and Danie van Heerden.
EFC 48 takes place on Friday, 22 April 2016, a day earlier than originally scheduled following a groundbreaking broadcast partnership which will see all future EFC events taking place on Friday nights instead of Saturdays. EFC will now be broadcast live on Kwesé Sports from 20:00 and delayed live on e.tv in South Africa from around 22:30 (after the evening movie).
In addition to the heavyweight championship bout between Groenewald and van Heerden at the Grand Arena, EFC fans can also look forward to 11 other fights including the interim bantamweight championship between Irshaad Sayed and Cedric Doyle.
