Good Housekeeping Magazine celebrated National Women’s Month with their biggest annual Celebrity Bake Stars High Tea reader event to date, hosted on Friday 12th August at D’Aria Wine Estate in Durbanville.

Vivacious celebrity chef Zola Nene and Afternoon Expresso Show’s chef Clement Pedro entertained the 354 guests with tips and tricks for mouthwatering treats that were featured in the Bake Stars special in the August issue of Good Housekeeping/Goeie Huishouding.

This year, the event also featured SA celebrities’ family favourite baking recipes, that guests got a chance to taste at the event from the likes of Derek Watts, Kurt Darren, Tim Noakes and Prim Reddy.

Liezel van der Westhuizen was the event MC and attendees received goodie bags filled with surprise items from sponsors – Bakers, Danone NutriDay, Clicks and Glad, Milady’s, Tupperware and a 3-month subscription to Good Housekeeping or Goeie Huishouding magazine and the opportunity to win great prizes.

The event also raised R11, 465.00 for S-Cape, a charity that provides a place of safety for women escaping sexual exploitation.
