The Crazy Store Table Mountain Challenge (or TMC as it is affectionately known in the trail running community) takes place next Saturday, 10 September 2016.
A Cape Town institution, and eagerly anticipated race each year, The Crazy Store Table Mountain Challenge is an iconic and exhilarating race which offers trails of indigenous forest, mountain streams, slopes of fynbos and many spectacular views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Participants have a host of racing options from the 44km individual or team trail, 23km Lite trail to the 7km Family Fun Run.
“Race organisers have also included a kiddies dash and the introduction of the first ever TMC Schools Challenge” says Kevin Lennett of The Crazy Store.
“While trail running is not an official school racing discipline, more and more youth are drawn to the challenges and excitement offered by trail runs.”
This event – which kicks off at the Jan van Riebeeck Sports Fields – supports team entries for certain classes with team sizes ranging from 2 – 3 participants per team. All entries in the 44km and 23km events receive a Crazy Store branded First Ascent performance t-shirt and cap valued at R500, for each runner.
Entrants in the school and family races will each receive a Crazy Store branded First Ascent performance cap valued at R100.
