The City of Cape Town would like to inform its customers and residents that various municipal offices will be closed tomorrow, 24 September 2016, on Heritage Day. The City regrets any inconvenience caused.

Municipal offices, including those dealing with cash receiving, account enquiries and motor vehicle registrations, as well as traffic centres, municipal courts and housing offices will be closed on this public holiday and will reopen on Monday 26 September 2016.

An exception is the Customer Care Centre in the Liberty Promenade Mall, Mitchells Plain. Customers will be able to make use of this office for various services between 08:00 and 17:00.

Payment of municipal accounts (excluding motor vehicle licences) may be made at any Shoprite/Checkers, Pick n Pay, Pep Stores, Woolworths and selected Spar stores or at any branch of Absa and the Post Office.

Payment for the renewal of motor vehicle licences may be made online at www.capetown.gov.za/vehiclelicensing.

Payment of pre-due date traffic fines may be made online at www.absa.co.za (Absa clients only); www.standardbank.co.za (Standard Bank clients only); www.fnb.co.za (FNB clients only) and www.paycity.co.za or at any online branch of Absa, the Post Office and selected Spar stores.

Absa, Standard Bank and First National Bank clients may also pay their pre-due date traffic fines at their respective ATMs.
