Cape Town, Tuesday 01 November, Radisson Blu Le Vendome Hotel in Sea Point’s Executive chef, Craig Carmichael, has created a truly South African menu for the hotel’s gourmet Christmas lunch buffet menu, certain to appeal to families, friends and loved ones in search of an unforgettable culinary experience this festive season.
To be served at the Platinum Mile hotel’s #add Restaurant & Pool, Craig Carmichael’s delectable menu consists of a combination of authentic South African flavours fused with international influences, resulting in festive favourites with a twist.
The stellar three-course buffet opens with a range of tantalizing dishes, from grape and brie cheese salad complemented by a lavender dressing to smoked beef carpaccio with wasabi mayonnaise.
Mains include hot dishes such as slow roasted pork belly; ostrich fan fillets and; grilled line fish with an apricot chutney, fennel and lemongrass cream sauce, to name just a few.The delicious dessert menu is equally impressive, with treats such as rooibos tea smoked cheesecake with blueberry compote; Amarula infused crème brule; classic lemon tart and double baked chocolate brownies.
