GrandWest brings the sights, sounds and aromas of Jamaica to Jackson Hall with Reggae Nights on Wednesdays until March 2017. The laidback, island styled evenings will feature Jamaican inspired food, cocktails and music.
Guests will be entertained by Cape Town based reggae band, the Rivertones, and there will also be prizes to be won. The Rivertones will perform an array of songs inspired by the late Bob Marley and other well known reggae bands while guests enjoy Jamaican food and drinks. Jamaican cuisine is diverse and includes a range of cooking techniques, flavours, and spices which are influenced by the island’s indigenous people as well as the different cultures that inhabit the island.
Doors to Jackson Hall for Reggae Nights on Wednesdays will open at 18h00. DJs will be on the decks from 18h30 and the Rivertones will take the stage from 21h00.
