To Commemorate the 20th anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, ITV Choice (DStv 123) will be broadcasting two fascinating documentaries, new and exclusive to South Africa.
The second special – to be aired on Friday, September 1 at 20:00 is called Diana: The Day The World Cried and will be shown on the channel within 24 hours of its UK premiere. Diana: The Day The World Cried is the story of that day – her funeral – as told by people who were there, from some of the famous faces at Westminster Abbey to those behind the scenes such as the funeral’s chief architect Sir Malcolm Ross who had just six days to plan the whole event; chief pallbearer Captain Richard Williams who had the weight on the nation on his and his men’s shoulders and the former Royal Protection Officer who looked after Diana and the two Princes and travelled in the hearse with Diana’s coffin. Many of the interviewees are talking exclusively for the first time
