GrandWest hosts the starting venue of this year’s Toy Run
The 36th annual Toy Run in Cape Town will start from the GrandWest parking area on 18 November 2018. This national event sees thousands of motorcyclists around the country rally together to give joy to needy children.
The motorcyclists strap toys to their bikes and parade through the country’s major cities, before donating the toys to orphanages, hospitals and places of safety for children. This year, 3 000 motorcycles are expected to take part in the Cape Town arm of the rally.
“The Toy Run is South Africa’s largest motorcycle ride, and it’s all for charity.” says Elouise Matthys, the PR and Promotions Manager at GrandWest. “We are delighted to host these kind motorcyclists as they depart on their annual rally.”
